Overall*** Armed with a new lineup ( most notably CO-lead vocalist; Philip Bailey) EW&F delivered with a better sound altogether. The jazz foundation that EW&F had forged the first two albums filters through a little. Rock, folk, gospel, doo-wop, light-fuzz and light-funk are also added to the mix and balanced out decently. "Last Days and Time" is better produced than the first two EW&F albums, but not up to par with the group's finest productions.

EW&F up until this album was what one would consider an underground band, but with "Last Days and Time" EW&F would finally begin to skim the surface.
