Touch the World (Featuring the Hawkins Family)**+ (Rev. O. Wells): Uptempo techno gospel soul. This title cut starts off with amazing possibilities. The synthsizer laden introduction is classic EW&F, Maurice White and Philip Bailey trade off lead vocals with the Hawkins family providing background vocals on the hook. Walter and Tremaine Hawkins take on the lead vocals parts during the next verse and "Touch the World" sounds like its on its way to being a classic.
Unfortunately thats where it ends, the bridge is lackluster, synthesizers that make up the vamp are bland at best, the ad libs sound forced and its all over before having a chance to digest anything.
I will end by positively mentioning the message of this song is excellent and literally a premonition of social issues that have effected more than just a few.
