3. Walking On the Chinese Wall ****: Title cut is the third single released from this album and arguably the best solo effort yet for Philip Bailey. This mid tempo cut is folksy yet soulful at the same time. Acoustic guitars, brass, percussion and harmonic vocals are all flavorful. Bailey delightfully croons through each verse in falsetto before displaying how powerful his natural voice is on the hook. Chinese Wall should have been enough evidence that Philip Bailey was among the best solo artists in the business, but the record charts indicated differently.
