The Changing Times***** [5:54] (Taylor): In a few of EW&F albums leading up to Raise!, the group sprinkled light to medium rock into their selections. However, "The Changing Times" is at the doorstep of heavy metal (still grounded with funk). Roland Bautista (Re-joining EW&F after the departure of Al McKay a year earlier) especially made his presence known on this jam. Potent guitar riffs, bass lines matching note for note, complex drum patterns augmented by synth drums and synthesizers darting in and out.



This is the third composition by Beloyd Taylor on the "Raise!" album and the best."The Changing Times" , should have been released as a single, and given this album not only a longer life, but possibly effected the outcome of future EW&F albums?
