"Sweet Sassy Lady" has the potential to be a standout, but something's amiss. Loads of synthesizers, echo-plex vocals, the golden-sweet harmonies of Wanda Hutchinson-Vaughn and Sheila Hutchinson-Whitt
(Two of The "Emotions"), and even the story-line is fun.
But it's just a little hard to get into. Maybe if "Sweet Sassy Lady" could have been redone a few more times, Maurice
White and company may have gotten it right.
